We Created 2 New Gardens

In addition to continuing our work at the garden we built last year in Saint Paul's North End neighborhood, the City of Minneapolis approved us to take over 2 city-owned lots. These gardens were made possible through a partnership with local nonprofit Kill Kancer, in order to provide space for the community to build sustainable food practices.

We've worked at 11 different garden sites since our incorporation in 2013.

We Received The Healing Connections Award

This summer The Center for Victims of Torture honored us in appreciation of our commitment to helping torture survivors restore a sense of safety and well-being.

We were the Recipient of 2 Round-up Programs

Throughout the entire month of April patrons of Lakewinds Co-op rounded up at the register to fight food waste at all 3 locations in the Twin Cities. Thank you to Lakewinds for selecting North Country Food Alliance, and thank you to the community for raising over $14,000 in just one month!

In September members of The Wedge Co-op rounded up raising over $6,000 that was then matched by an anonymous member of the community. A big thank you to our supporters at all levels!

North Country Food Alliance is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt non-profit organization based in the Twin Cities of Minnesota. We increase access to food by sharing it with people in need.

We accomplish this through rescuing produce and baked goods, moving several tons of food each week into low-income neighborhoods, building and educating through community gardens, and sharing community meals.

Thank you for your generosity and on-going support!
